I extend my heartiest gratitude to Ravi Purohit ji, reputed poet of Rajasthani and Hindi and Sahitya Akedemi Award Winner 2016, for Rajasthani Translation. It is still more a matter of joy for me as this is prime translation of my English poems in Rajasthani. RECOGNITION
After getting acquainted
With our countenance
Why we glance in mirror
Mirror reflects an image of
Our physical identity
Where do we find
Recognition of our
Mental embodiment

खुद री पिछाण
खुदो-खुद सूं परतख होवतां थकां ई
पिछाण री साख सारू
क्यूं जोंवता रैवां दरपण...
कांच चिलको दिखाय सकै
देही बणाव रो
पण रूह-रूप री पिछाण
अठै-कठै लाधै ?

A dream for
Hope deprived vision
A sigh for
Mum lips
A patch for
Torn heart
Suffice for
My existence.

घणो ई है
अेक सपनो
थिर-रंगहीण आंख सारू
अेक निसखारो
मून धारियै होठां सारू
अेक अणछंट कारी
चाक-हियै छाती सारू
घणो ई है इत्तो सामान
म्हारै जीवणै सारू
